David Warren Ellefson is an American bassist and second-longest serving member of the American thrash metal band Megadeth. David plays in multiple other bands, including Metal Allegiance.

David used the Abyss bass overdrive on a new record for Metal Allegiance. He showed the settings he used:

"The left setting was my "standard tone" (printed to tape on the amp and DI inputs). The right photo is the setting I used for some more "gainy" lead bass licks in a section of the song. Pretty much a similar setting but with the "hi" switch engaged."
